Can you keep a secret?

Do you keep a secret if somebody told you one? Or do you share it with people you think you can trust? ("But you don't have to tell anyone else!")

Yes, I can. A secret is a secret. Even those from long departed friends I keep. I think betrayal is one of the lowest acts in life.

yes.
unless it put that person or others in danger in which case i would (depending on the degree of danger) either inform someone i trust (confidentially) or talk the person into seeking professional help.
- to clarify, i would never tell a secret out of spite.

Yes, otherwise I'd get sued and lose respect as a professional. It's part of my job and I apply it to my personal life too.

I usually bury that baby deep down into the pit of my memory and act as though I've never heard it. I do this because I'd expect the same person to do the same thing for me.
