Never been in a hospital with a girl that looks like Angelina Jolie. Just kidding, no offense meant.

Yes. But not because I have been required to check myself into an institution after a suicidal episode...
Rather, because there are times when I have lived so much inside my head that I ran the risk of blocking everything and everyone out of my life, the bad along with the good. Feelings of inadequacy, of being trapped in an invisible cage, of observing others that I thought lived better lives than me, making me wish I was someone else instead.

Then there are times when I think death is entirely easier than having to struggle each and every day in life. Trying to conform, trying to be an individual, wishing to belong, but in dire need for freedom. It's a mishmash of confusion that I bring upon myself, when really, I just want to be me.

And the trouble with that is that sometimes, I forget what "me" is supposed to be. Is this normal? What is normal? Does it even truly exist? *shrug*

Hmm. Well, I have Borderline Personality Disorder, so I can relate to Susana Cason, certainly. But I have always loved that quote, "Crazy is just you and me, amplified." In ways, I can relate to all the girls in that movie. Being "crazy", or "mentally ill" if you must, is just the feelings and thoughts that we all have. But to a level that they dominate one's life.
