Resolved Question

Can you suggest some songs?

I'm flat broke, so I'm making my mom a mixed CD for Mother's Day. I want it to be filled with inspirational songs. Songs that pick you up when you're down, and remind you to keep fighting when the chips are down. Songs that make you look on the bright side of life. Any suggestions? Thanks! :-)

Praise You In This Storm - Casting Crowns
More Adventurous - Rilo Kiley
Stand Tall - Dirty Heads
Human - The Killers
Hey Julie - Fountains of Wayne
Happy People - Skoop On Somebody
Hold On Hope - Guided By Voices
Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) - Chris Tomlin
It's All Right - The Impressions

Dear Prudence - The Beatles (I like the version from the movie "Across The Universe")

Country: Bring on the rain, by JoDee Messina
This one's for the girls, Martina McBride

POP: Mission Responsible, by Michael Tolcher

I don't know about picking you up when the chips are down, but "A Loop" by John Frusciante is good for instilling some fight into you. Especially the way it ends, with "I can't wait for life!" I can't help singing along to it.

"You'll never walk alone"- personally I love Elvis's version but there are others that have sung it.

"You raise me up"by Josh Groban- An absolutely beautiful song.

"Show me the way"- by Styx

In a previous comment someone mentioned making a slideshow. I do those all the time and let me say they bring tears to my families eyes every time. Good luck hun and as a mother I just want to say things like this mean the most not the money you spend.
