Yes......in fact you can even use the same paint. A few coats of lacquer and you'll have a lovely shine.

The make-up one would have the finer control i think...say a single action ceramics type one,..might be good for heavy foundations,..but for seriously subtle blends etc,..you might use one with the finer controls,..such as the iwata,hp.cs..with the micro control...For student there are cheap versions from asia...in blue foam inside plastic case,..for say 20 us dollar...2nd hand you can find some good paasche or iwata...The finer tips can clog too easy depending on how runny or how grainy the mix is...so in summary...not really sure:)
