i think it used to be called armistice day. anniversary of the armistice in WWI. we make a bit of a fuss over it. lots of people wearing poppies, memorial ceremonies at the cenotaph.
might as well ask why you guys call it veterans' day instead of doing what we did.
It's like Veterans Days. We have a mass, a moment a silence and we give our respects to the soldiers and fallen soldiers.
