Dogs! Dogs are so loving, adorable, loyal, and useful to society.<br />
They can actually have "jobs". They help the blind, sniff out drugs, help policemen, hunt... What do cats do? Jack ****.<br />
Dogs are clearly superior.<br />
And in response to Mark Young, dogs give affection freely. Not for treats, although they will certainly not refuse them. Why are cats so great? Because you have to "work" for their affection? I want a pet, not a spouse.
<B>Dogs rule, cats drool.</B>
I have 4 cats myself. They seem to be easier to care for,and more independent.I,m frequently gone all day,and they easily keep themselves and each other entertained while I'm gone.Plus, they definitely each have a personality, and mind,of their own.
I've had 7 cats over the course of 33 years and will always have them in my life.<br />
I cared for a ferret for 2 years and found her to have a lot of personality and humorous quirks. Hated to give her back to the owners when they returned.<br />
I have lived with dogs and enjoy them but they'll never replace cats, which I prefer by far.<br />
Hubby had 2 wolves when we met and I was privileged to bond with them and live with them for 8 years till they passed on. Quite remarkable, incredibly sentient and intelligent beings...far more evolved than domestic dogs.
Dogs -- they are so loving and trusting and loyal. Dogs ask for so little -- a bowl of water, a bit of food, a little bit of free space -- but they give back so much to us. My present dog has been with me through three addresses, one move across the state, one marriage, one divorce (my dog is waaaaaay more loyal than my ex-husband!), three jobs, my mother's cancer, my mother's death, my grandma's death, the birth of both of my nephews, and all of the George W. Bush years (which were particularly hard for both of us to take!). Throughout it all, my one constant was having this glorious, beautiful, noble, devoted, loving blonde Lab rescue by my side. If I shed one tear, four rooms away - she senses it and comes flying to be at my side. She cares more about my happiness than anyone ever has in my whole life. My dog is sensitive and caring -- she just wants people to be happy. She's also smart as can be and probably knows 100 words/commands. I've had cats before and the ones I had were terrific, but for me, nothing compares to the love and loyalty you get from a dog.
I am severely allergic to cats. I choose a small dog. My dog does not drool! he's so much like a cat, we call him cat-dog.
i love pigs(:
Dogs want to hang out with you more, I think.
I like Dogs.........
Yes, I have a cat, a dog, and a rat, I love them all, so my answer is not "which" but "Yes, to all of the above!"<br />
