There’s no end to the madness of chasing .one races and chases, all so that one can make more money , have more success, be more attractive, and hopefully be happier in some distant future when one has hit some superficial and randomly selected target.
game goes on.... the wanting for more never ends; and happiness will always appear to be just a reach away, when the project is completed or reached the goal.well it just goes on.in pursuit of goal one always is not satisfied and happiness never seems to be enough.

Dont stop having goals, just keep them in perspective as in accordance with importance.

without goals in life, there would be no happiness. keep chasing those goals, dreams, aspirations or whatever you want to call them. they will lead you to your happiness. :)

The moment we understand, we are not in a position to control the results of our actions, we would stop running behind the goals that we artificially set for ourselves!!

And then seek to be happy? You feel happy or sad, basis whether you achieved your goal or not.

Personal thought - the Buddha was trying to eliminate desire since that was causing a build up of hatred. Having a goal and achieving it would not cause a similar situation. Don't DESIRE the goal, try reaching it. Hope I made some sense?

it`s called finding peace within yourself and not looking outwardly for it. goals are simply a reaching out of yourself to find something exterior that when you acheive it will give you a sense of peace. if you can find peace within yourself, you eliminate the need to set goals.........
