College graduates:?

I have a BS in Chemistry. It got me my job but it has been absolutely no help beyond that. At certain moments it comes in handy, since it is basically a second language that many don't understand for ****. However, I remember little from school, a bachelors degree barely has you grasping it, and my job is more like a cook than a chemist.

I also have a BA in Psychology, which I sort of accidentally got since I needed fun and easy electives for financial aid. It has been much more useful both at work and everyday life, though you couldn't get a job for **** with just that degree. The downside is that there are concepts that I wish I didn't understand that work to take away from my own mental well being.

AAS and BS both in an electronics technology discipline.

I am still working in that field. Things have changed a lot since I got the BS in 1980, but lots of things stay the same.

Even before college I did a lot of learning on my own, read, ask questions, make mistakes. I think I've learned more informally than formally.

BA in Sociology. It has not lead to me getting a specific job, with the exception of my last one. Which I ended up quitting.

My motivation for higher education was all wrong. I was doing it for someone else, to prove my worth. I am glad I put in the work, but it was (looking back) not for me.

The Cal-State system got my money though.

I have a diploma in industrial instrumentation and currently persuing my Bsc in process engineering and i am unable to get a job with it since the economy took a turn for the worse in november. All the oil and manufacturing companies stopped hiring people , even with a 3.6GPA
