Could an average adult man (18+) lift something that weighs 180 to 200 pounds?
in my story, a guy gets a helicopter rotor about 6 feet long on his neck, the beam weighs 180-200 pounds and the boy is stuck. would he be able to pull off the 180-200 pounds of force off his neck? the man is slim

Only 200? Puny mortals.

Is it just resting on him? If so, then maybe he could. I saw my son lift three fifty pound bags of fertilizer at the same time and carry it to the register this morning. So, yeah, I think it could be done.
But the centrifugal force involved in a spinning rotor blade, even when it appears to be nearly stopped, is misleading. I've seen a guy jerked off his feet after throwing a rope over a rotor blade that was barely moving. Hard to believe, but a real scream to watch. HAHALike (1)

Probably not. I could go into the physics of the act, such as the angle, limited leverage, distance to the fulcrum....etc. Point is, the muscles needed aren't usually developed to lift that type of weight. However, the total weight pressing down upon him would be determined by the physics above....sheesh...such a complex question....

Well counting the adrenaline, it's possible, but usually it'll be hard. Usually about 150 is normal guys lifting weight but counting adrenaline, (will to save one) they can do like 225 if need be
