Could I have MS or is it something else?

In the last 6-7 years I seem to have collected a whole host of health problems which are odd and seem to now be getting worse, sometimes they go away for a while then come back.So far Ive been told I have carpal tunnel syndrome although I dont have to do much to bring on the pain and if I injure myself its agony for days, starting to get same pain in my feet, ankles, occasionsal shooting pains up my legs, problems with ear infections, tinnitus, balance and nausea, heat intolerance and always being warm or too hot, simple things like spelling and talking I seem to jumble up more and more as times goes on and I have always been very literate! Fatigue, fatigue and more fatigue. Barely the energy to do much of anything these days. All this and lots of other niggling symptoms recently had a kidney infection also and have had repeated infections with boils etc on and off the last year too and now everything is happening at once. Hospital this week should I ask them to check for MS?welcome

One of the main symptoms of MS, is pain or tingling in the extremities...But, the symptoms you describe could be a host of illnesses....the only way to know for sure, is to get a complete physical...tell the doctor what you told us....he/she should be able to get to the bottom of it, whatever it may be.....God Bless you.

Some of what you describe could be MS, some is probably something else. I've never heard of my mother or anyone else with MS getting boils, etc. To test for MS, they'll start with an MRI and a spinal tap. It can take years to get a definitive diagnosis.

Good luck and best wishes.

Yes - MS usually takes ages to get diagnosed properly. Your symptoms would also be worsened by stress.

If you're worried you should ask for a specific check-up.

Take care and good luck xx

I am a diabetic and some of the symptoms you describe fit in with being diabetic...high or low blood sugar can cause confusion, aches and pains and constant fatigue...I aslso have tinnitis and a sever hearing loss from having too much antibiotics when I had double pneumonia...have you had your blood sugars tested?
