Without evil, there would be no good. Evil is necessary only so we can strive to prevent it.

Best Answer

great answer:) have you read a book of the Bible called Job, incidentally?

Best Answer

If dark is the absence of light then Evil is not the absence of good.

Best Answer

Not read exactly, but we learned it in school, shortly before religion got banned.

Best Answer

do you mean that evil IS the absence of good?

Best Answer

well..in that book of the Bible, satan came to God to ask His permission to hurt Job....i often wonder if God conspired with satan to hurt Job.....but what if it was a necessary evil?

Best Answer

the abrahamic god ruined Job's life on a dare from the devil. Yeah, sounds like a loving god.

Best Answer

No, I think God just likes ******* us around.

I wouldn't say that they are -part- of the good but we wouldn't know good without bad.

Best Answer

very true...could this be why more people go to hell than heaven? so that by having more evil, the good in heaven can be more concentrated?

Best Answer

Maybe.

Best Answer

It's a case where evil and good are always mixed. You never get pure good or pure evil, it's always a shade in-between the two.

i thought that on other questions you stated you are a Christian, am i correct?

Best Answer

I conform to Christian philosophy as laid forth by the writings about Jesus Christ. What most people think of as Christian is generally in violation of what I read about the teachings of Jesus. If you care to discuss the philosophies laid forth by the writings of Jesus, be ready for some shocking results.

Best Answer

i am a Christian as well. do you not believe that God is purely good?

Best Answer

Yes. This context of life is finite, however, so there is no way to behold the infinite level of God so my statement still stands.

the basic thing is if there is only chaos unity evil or good then our world will be unbalanced but if we have all four then we are fine chaos and unity are total opposites just as good and evil are total opposites if one is missing then our entire dimension becomes unbalanced and may very well be destroyed which is why there is war famine etc there is basically nothing we can really do about it because either we live the way we do or we destroy everything and our entire dimension no longer exists which could very well disturb the balance of all other dimensions known and unkown.15

Best Answer

i confess some confusion....if they are complete opposites, how can they both be working towards the same end goal of balance? in addition, you say that an IMBALANCE is the cause of war and famine....you don't think that EVIL is the cause of war and famine?

Best Answer

no the chaos and evil is the cause of war and famine because there has to be otherwise there would be no balance and we could no longer exist every single dimension is balanced out known and unkown alike and if one goes out of balance then the only way to restore balance is to make another one go out of balance but be the total opposite but our world is balanced so we have famine and war but we also have times of peace and happiness which are the most important times of all and allow us to grow as human beings and to keep balance so people like hitler even though they did horrible things they are simply people who have helped to keep the balance.
