If a person gets cut, no matter the color of his/her skin, the blood is red. If you look at an X-ray of the human body, no matter the color of the skin, the bone structure is the same. I see people as humans first. Their character is who defines them and has nothing to do with the color of their skin!
The shrinking white population is what elected Obama.
Why would that matter? I'd hate to think people vote based on what the candidates look like and not ideas. By that way of thinking, I should just vote for whichever candidate has brown hair that's closest in shade to mine. LOL
A lot of people actually do vote race. It's sad, but true. But it also reflects how a certain race sees its place in society and whether it feels the candidate "understands". I've heard many people say that of Obama- both regarding ideals and race.
Of course it matters. It is the only thing that matters. Minorities have been touting the election and re-elections of America's "first black president", ever since Obama seized the limelight, four years ago. None of his success has anything to do with merit.
Golf is actually very different than running the country. If integrating a sport was all it took, there'd have been a black president shortly after Jackie Robinson.
Tiger Woods was not the first black person involved in golf, btw---a black doctor invented the wooden golf tee. And are you familiar with Lee Elder or Calvin Peete ?
Maybe he made the path a little easier. You never know.
