probably...they';d have to go clod turkey...maybe an intervention where everyone gets together with that person but does NOT tell them what they are doing...dunno how you tell if they're cured though, cuz you can't talk to them about it...

They won't get addicted to counselling, or at least they shouldn't because counselling isn't one thing, there are many approaches to take and each is different depending on what the client needs. Someone might develop dependency but it's the counsellor's role to prevent that from happening. They need to have courage and be willing to move on from the therapy.<br />

Counsellors are SUPPOSED to offer a finite amount of sessions after which the therapy is over with the chance of small extensions as needed. But as I understand it that doesn't always happen in America and people go for years to a therapist. It's not healthy and there's no therapeutic value, and that's not the client's fault, it's the counsellor who has acted unprofessionally and mistreated their client
