Could you live without your microwave?

Mine finally died...I experimented living without one for 2 weeks, lol. I am going out today to get a new one. Never realized how many dishes/pots/pans need washing without a microwave.

Is This A Good Question? (2)

I could live (and have lived) without one, but the real question is, do I want to?

Being a cook for 20 years, yes I could. I hate microwaves. The only thing they are good for is unevenly cooking food, destroying any nutritional value in food such as protein and irradiating your food and body.

Easily, I think we last used it 3 weeks ago to make some melted cheese sandwiches. Hot drinks get drunk so don't need reheating and you can't even buy microwave meals where we live so really it's only there because my mother bought it when she was put out that we didn't have one.

I've lived without one for about 12 years and have never missed it. I don't think I'll ever have one again.
