No. Marriage is hard enough anyway without seeing a Republican across the breakfast table.

No, that would make them a conservative, and I won't even knowingly date one. I not only am a liberal myself, I come from a family of politically active liberals. I have friends and acquaintances from the other side of the "aisle", but we simply don't talk politics. Anyone I was coming home to would need to be on the same page politically, or we'd both be miserable. And my family would eat him alive.

I don't believe in marriage. That said, i can't even be friends with a goddamned Republican...I certainly wouldn't marry one.

I couldn't do it - - how somebody could make the leap to accept all of conservatism's idiotic assertions is just beyond me. It wouldn't take more than a few political conversations and I'd revert to name calling.

I'm too political. We would fight constantly.

I "could", but why would I want to?

Ooposite? No. Too many of my beliefs are things that my partner needs to share. But a few that are varying to some degree - I think that would allow for an excellent source of conversation.

Depends on how strong their views were and how active they were in supporting them. If "we" could agree to disagree not a problem.

That wouldn't bother me as much as if "she" didn't vote at all!! I feel and believe that if a citizen doesn't vote at all, then they have NO right to complain what so ever!! Yes, someone can always "choose" NOT to participate in an election, but I myself don't even want to hear it if that person tries to complain about ANYTHING when it comes to the incumbant!! She could have her own views and opinions, but I myself would NOT let them come between us!

My wife used to be a republican, but I have since humiliated and badgered her into sharing my beliefs.

I think some could make it work, but it makes a marriage harder! I think if they both really love each other, they would have to find common ground..somehow..lol. So, yes,I would under those circumstances.
