Do you receive much from Australia?

We got the news of your fire. Other than that our media has a tendency to not report much of what it going on on the rest of the planet unless it suits their purpose.

If we wish news from other places, we have to search the internet. That may not be as bad as it sounds, we have the choice of many papers which print on-line editions.

We do get bits and pieces, but not enough to garner what are the interests of your society. Granted in many ways human nature is universal. How you conduct your business of living life, what you elect for laws of the land, schools, how your government functions.

Unless it is devastating, unique or of global importance, we get little news from around the world.

Believe it or not, BBC America is one of the best international sources we have that I have access to. Plus, I get a smile on some issues how quickly they can sift the bullshit from a story our media seems to reveal in their ability to confuse the issue in the interest of being fair.
