DO you believe in evil?

In the huskily-voiced words of Lord Voldemort (the Harry Potter character) or perhaps it was Professor Quirrel: "There is no good and evil, there is only power, and those too weak to seek it."
I don't advocate his words or anything.. Me and Voldemort don't get on a lot of the time. I don't agree with a lot of what he says, sometimes I think he's just too evil.

Anyone who thinks evil doesn't exist or that there is only a l'little' evil hasn't come to terms with the world around them. I know for a fact that there is evil and I know for a fact that there are evil people- not just their deeds, but there very breath, everything about them. You can't tell me those who run child prostitute rings are only comitting 'evil acts'- by their fruit you will know them. You aren't gonna get an orange from an apple tree. And you aint gonna get good acts from an evil person. The reverse is true however- and you can't get a good person to willingly do evil things. He may be forced to do evil but he will not by free will do evil. There is definitely evil.

I don't know about "evil"...I believe that there are people who have issues that are probably related to a MISDIRECTION/ MALTRAINING in their THOUGHT HABITS..As far as the biblical concept of evil with demons thrashing about and seances on full moons conjuring up every entity out of the necronomicon.....nah.

I agnowledge ailengien as the writer of the answer I based this answer on, it is somewhat a response to that, but also it's a total rejection of the idea of the existance of evil, or Evil, or The Devil, Satan, Beelzeebub, Lucifer, Cliff Richard, The Anti-Christ or any other Daemons, Hobgoblins, Gremlins and Faeries.

Well, you know, this world is a world of DUALITY, of opposites. As has been pointed out, EVIL = LIVE (backwards). One without the other would be unbalanced; however, I believe the best way to handle it is to acknowledge its presence, and within ourselves to keep the balance of Good impulses over Evil ones, by expressing Who We Really Are - which is neither Good nor Evil, but just IS.

If we could get past the programming, Who We Really Are could express as LIFE and LOVE itself - no duality. We would be "in the world but not of it".

Evil doesn't exist. I don't even think there are evil people. There are people who almost always do evil things, but that's different from being an evil person. There are good acts and evil acts, but there aren't good and evil people, not entirely good and evil anyway. We're all mixed bags, but no one wants to admit it.
