I say Merry Christmas when it's for Christmas and Happy Holidays for the month when people celebrate, Christmas, Boxing Day, Hanukkah and/or New Years. Not everyone celebrates Chritmas.
I don't know actual people who say that. I only know it from corporate speak. I loath the term Xmas. I even loath it when it's Slade and that song is a national institution.
-Especially to the hotels that call their Christmas trees...holiday trees! THEY ARE CHRISTMAS TREES IDIOTS!
-It's called CHRISTMAS VACATION NOT Winter Break!
-If someone says Happy Holidays or Seasons Greetings, I respond MERRY CHRISTMAS...even thru Jan 6th
-Christmas is longer than one day, but the secular world doesn't observed that! Hint..hint "The Twelve Days of Christmas"
I do exactly the same thing. "Holiday" parties my ***!
I would say Happy Christmas.
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good god PC drives me crazy
