Dennis Rodman is a sideshow, okay. But if he says Kim Jong-il would like call from Obama--why not?
Not like the US doesn't have a history of dealing with evil dictators--we've spent generations funding them. So, what could it hurt (other than our ego) for Obama to call? Nixon went to China, etc, etc.

North Korea has recently defied the UN and he US wishes by conducting missile launches and underground nuclear testing. To give him the ear of the most powerful man in the world would be to send a message to all other would-be dictators that regardless of your actions or behavior, we will sit down and talk with you.
Frankly if Rodman thinks so highly of Kim Jung-un he should consider relocating. That dumbazz didn't even know where he was at, he said he was hoping to mee the "Gangnam Style" creator who is from South Korea. I think Rodman didn't realize or have any knowledge of North Korea until he returned. Now he is trying to save face by purporting to like Kim Jung-un.Like (1)

Which US President other then George W Bush has ignored the UN? and when? I never said it was horrible if Obama calls Kim Jung-un, I said it would be rewarding bad behavior. We have repeatedly sent diplomats to North Korea and it has been years since anything has been accomplished by doing so. Kim Jung-un wants to portray himself as a major player on the world stage and he is not one.Like (1)

I wouldn't put talking to thin air and claiming he has talked to a dead Dictator beyond Obama if it allows him to further restrict the American people..
