Did anyone else start getting varicose veins before age 20?
Im now 26 with varicose veins that are getting pretty noticeable on my calves and new veins on the tops of my thighs, side of my knee and behind my other knee. I think Im starting to get the itchy dry skin symptom on my calves.

I had nice chicken legs until I had my second son. Now my right leg is horrible looking and yesterday out of the blue I had a huge knot on the back of it that hurt really bad and then it turned into a bruise the size of a lemon. I have had bruises as big as small oranges that have been documented by doctors. They wanted to have something done about it but Blue Cross wouldn't pay because it would have been considered cosmetic surgery they said.

Are you referring to spider veins? I think they are different and less serious than varicose.
The age at which you start showing spider veins usually has a lot to do with heredity. I had a friend in her early twenties who had a lot of spider veins in her legs, and she was in very good physical shape. I noticed my first spider vein about ten years ago. Recently I've noticed a couple more on my upper thigh. But if the mood hits me, I can have them zapped by laser. I think that dealing with varicose veins is more complicated.Like (1)

I did in my early 20s runs in my moms family. Worse with pregnancy and weight gain for me and had them fixed about 8 years ago. Glad I had insurance!
