Did you ever have a bad experience from taking Dihydrocodiene?

I did...they made me so out of it that I couldnt even find the words to make a proper sentence and it knocked my confidence and made me feel like I was losing the plot. I even thought that people were attacking me and kept getting upset with people...I'm on new painkillers now and Im getting more alert every day and feeling better emotionally. Has anyone else experienced emotional things when taking codiene based pain killers?

Everyone is affected differently to opiates. Tylenol with coding is just one of the more commonly prescribed, because of its lack of serious side affects. If you end up taking something else ie: Percocet...then your side affects are simply a result of you tolerance to a particular drug. That said, I found the codine to be effective in nothing more then increasing my anxiety level.

Im relieved that someone actually said that! I was beginning to think it was me. It got to the point that I stopped talking as every time I said something it didnt come out right...or someone misunderstood me, or I thought they were out to get me. As I didnt have this previously and am getting better since stopping those tablets I can only presume it was them...

Yes a lot of people told me it made them sick, but Ive never known anyone who said it made them irrational/feel attacked and like they were losing their marbles. But then, maybe it's not some thing people want to admit?

It did increase my anxiety. I got the thought in my head that I may forget to breathe in my sleep.
