Did you instantly know your spouse was "the one" or did they grow on you over time?

I meet many girls , but they were just friends etc and had no feeling to marry them , but then i meet my future wife and I had a good feeling at the start and then that got stronger over time and then i knew we married ,
it took us 12 mths from meeting to wedding and still going 29 ys later

Yes, instantly, first time I ever saw her. We married right away, had a baby boy in the first year, a daughter two years later, and we amicably divorced in year 25.

When I met mine, I heard her talk one day and a shiver went through me, like I was vibrating to every word she had said...

But... that could have been a warning as it ended up turning very ugly many years down the road!

at the time i was 19 yrs old,thought it was love but mostly was lust,love grew over time

I think we were strongly attracted, first time we met; and over the space of a few meetings, knew we were destined to be together. Actually, my wife-to-be was clairvoyant, and got confirmation that we were to marry. I was 37 at the time, not having come across anyone who "rang my bell" before that, (although there was at least one woman who was hoping to marry me)...

We did have a very loving marriage for 34 years, until she died.

Although I found him insanely attractive, I didn't think he was my type. The poor guy spent two years chasing me before I would even give him a date. I feel pretty bad about that.
