    It's just like physical health problem, some mental health problems are more likely to happen to women or to men. Statistics show that women are more vulnerable to depression and mood disorders but men are more prone to other problem, schizophrenia for an example. It's probably a matter of hormonal influences. There's also anatomical and functional differences between the brain of the two genders. Hope it helps to understand.
