Do cats get grey hair with age like humans?

My bet is no. I think it would be funny if they did.

Yes they do, well white hairs. My, once jet black cat, first turned more brown and then little white hairs began to sprout out around the whisker area. Now she has loads of white hairs it's really sweet. She is now 17.

I know, she sleeps a lot but give her a cardboard box and she becomes a kitten again.

Not much, dogs do more. My dog is 12 years old and she used to be all black but now she's grey round her muzzle, eyes and feet.

Many animals will get some gray or white hairs when they grow old. Some get them a lot more than others, just like humans. Others will retain their original hair color for their entire life.

That's odd ...when some species cells must not age as we do. Grey hair means follicle breakdown.

I think the reason we don't notice it in animals as much, is simply because animals, outside of pets and those in captivity, don't often grow old enough for their hair color to change. I notice that some of the older animals in my local zoo have gray hairs, but they tend to live a fair amount longer than their wild counterparts. I've seen some awfully gray old dogs before, and even some mildly graying cats. Cats seem to hold up a but better though. Maybe their self-cleaning by licking helps to slow the process, or perhaps their diets or genes makes it less frequent than with dogs. I'm only guessing. I've seen rats and ferrets turn gray too.

Dogs do, not sure on cats.
