Resolved Question

Do disorders affect anyone else's lives besides mine?

I suffer with two different types of disorders. OCD is one. Sometimes I tend to obsess and get fixated on certain ideas for a period of time, and it tends to get to certain people. Sorry if that's happened to anyone on here with asking certain questions more than once. I also have AS, which affects the way I interact and socialize with humans, and sometimes I really struggle with following through with directions. I'm trying to work past them, but it can be quite difficult. Does anyone else get affected by certain disorders they have? How does it affect your life?

I don't know that I have any disorders. Although I do know several other people who do. Yes...soemtimes it can 'get' to me. But then I have to remind myself they did not ask for it, nor is it something they can always control.
So... keep working through things for yourself. Remeber...the people who mind probably don't matter and the people who matter don't mind.

Spider/insect phobia. I bought a house, and moved my mom in as pest control. I cannot enjoy the outdoors (even my yard) because of it, and am nervous about things getting in through door cracks. In places that I've encountered bugs, I cannot completely relax (e.g. in bathroom, I watch for spider coming again under the door).

Not directly ( that I'm aware )- but indirectly, yes. My sister has severe bi polar and generalized anxiety disorder. She is also now being treated by a psychiatrist for borderline personality disorder. Her actions affect all of us, especially my niece and nephew ( her children ).

Oh yes..I have agoraphobia and freak out just thinking of being outside with people. I also have Borderline Personality Disorder...and aren't those mood swings fun?
And just to make it nice..I have Major Depressive Disorder..yay dilusions.
I can not work and have to medicate myself to zombiedom before I can be around people.
But hey..if you can't laugh at yourself..what can you laugh at?

Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I feel like I'm going to explode into a violent rage at any second most of the time. Fortunately I've been sticking to a pretty strict drug regimen to keep my mind you know, uh, limber.

Oh probably but I have never allowed anyone to "diagnose" me with anything ever aside from allergies. I have my crippling and nearly crippling things here and there and have never been called normal.. but that's me and after all these years I decided that I actually like me.. quirks and all!

I've suffered from depression since very early childhood. Of course, it was thought that children couldn't be depressed, but I showed them. It is getting better now, but I still have constant relapses, although becoming more frequent, but of shorter duration.
What could I have accomplished with my life if I hadn't been depressed all my life?
We'll never know.
