    I dont think u need a fancy one. I only use a regular lapdesk when i use laptop on the couch or bed as it does get hot quickly on top of a throw pillow. Laptop by itself on a desk seems to be working ok.

    I tried the ones with fans and they died rather quickly. I just use a firm lapdesk without fabric on the laptop side.

    What's your normal operating temperature or you can say room temperature?

    room temp I guess. Is there a program or software to measure the temp within the laptop?
