Do married or attached men that deploy usually cheat on the one waiting for them back home?

It is far more likely that the woman waiting for her serviceman is going to cheat.

He should be worried about you.

In Iraq? In Afghanistan? I'm guessing in the history of the US at war that the soilders going over
there are more likely than in any other war to not fool around

Who wants to mess with a burka? and the practice of whipping one's butt with one's hands is "common" in Afghanistan

Well as for the soilders messing around with each other, well that might be different.

Some do, some don´t........but you know this.

It's not good to generalize, but every friend I've had that was in the armed services cheated.

Most don't, the ones who do will take every oportunity....

Just because of the numbers(alot more men than women in theater) there's a higher percentage of women that cheat in that circumstance......

At least, that's been my observation while deployed....

It really just depends on the relationship and the person. I know A LOT of Military men who havent cheated on their significant other. My husband never cheated and we were apart almost a year. But while I have been here in Korea with him I have seen a lot of married men and women cheat. My husbands old roommated was with a woman who was married, but no one cared. Its sad, but it does happen. I really think it just depends on the person and how committed they are to their loved one.

No, I wouldn't say they "usually" do. I would say that if in the midst of fear and duty and blood and mayhem they find someone who remotely reminds them that life can be normal, they might very well take advantage of the situation. I had a boyfriend who deployed to Iraq and he was not faithful. But honestly -- after all he went through -- I don't blame him one bit for seeking comfort elsewhere. I just wish he hadn't told me! lol...

I would think they have other things on their minds.

Almost every service member I've known has cheated when stationed away from their significant other. Not just over seas but even stationed state side just somewhere else. And its always been with another service member, not a civillian.

74% of marriage fai is what my drill instructor told me. then I seen it first hand . The girls are usually waiting at the ports when guys travel overseas so there a chance.

I don't think they cheat anymore than civilians in the same age range.

My husband who is going to deploy soon told me a few things on this subject....
1. he's really worried about me(I'm never going to stray but I understand his worries) He's told me countless stories he's heard about the spouses at home cheating ....this one chick sent her hubby a video of her and his friend having ...hmm....hmm...."relations"...while he was gone. UGH.
2. I heard a joke about the number of blue eyed and blonde haired children in that region increasing. But remember alot of the soldiers are 18-24 and single.
3. Women. My hubby said that alot of times when women soldiers deploy they purposely try to get knocked up so they can go home. Fortunately my husband won't be deploying with any women. Poor guy won't be looking at any american chicks for awhile. I feel a little sorry he won't even have any eye candy.
