Statistically, it has been shown that married men live longer than single men, but single woman live longer than married woman.

There has been scientific evidence that HAPPILY married people do tend to have a longer life span than single people (or unhappily married people). Love and companionship does go a long way in our longevity. Of course many factors apply, like health issues, but in general it has been found to be true.

I've read and observed, that in general married men live longer than single ones, but single women live longer than married ones. For example, nuns always seem to live forever and Cathlic priests tend to die younger than average.

When it comes to life, I go for quality over quantity.

I'm not going to seek out marriage just so I can live longer.
