Being a "foodie" (and I've got the fat to prove that I am!), please allow me to share my opinion on this. First, I love fresh hot pizza, but...
...cold pizza tastes better simply because the pizza sauce and toppings have had more time for the flavors to meld together. Pretty much anything with a tomato based sauce tastes better a day or two after it's been cooked.
Now, some people enjoy the improved flavor of the cold pizza and don't mind the chewier crust or rubbery cheese.
So I think the people who don't like cold pizza are simply those for whom texture plays a larger role for their palates than those who enjoy cold pizza.
Of course, truth be told...I love day old re-heated pizza best.Like (1)

I disagree with the sauce & toppings melding cos the cheese separates them on any pizza I've ever had....

During the baking process...the fats from the meats and liquids from the veggies float down through the cheese as it bubbles and reaches the sauce.

It's just a fact of life. Pizza, fried chicken, and meatloaf all taste better cold and the day after making it.
