Do people care if you are happy?

I have not been happy for awhile...and the people I know really don't seem to care. As long as I keep going..they don't seem to notice.

Unfortunately, most people are so self involved that they don't realize that people around them are huting. And then on the other hand there are those who will do everything they can to ruin your happiness should you find it. Generally, people suck!

People usually can't tell if I'm unhappy. I used to take it personally, but then I realized I am good at hiding it. If I admit to what I feel people are usually very supportive. I only do so if I'm really unhappy. I don't like to bring people down if I can help it.

I think admitting what upsets me is often a huge weight off my shoulders. I get so sad, cause I keep thinking I'm this terrible person. When I admit this, people are like, "are you crazy? You're a great person".

I guess if you want others to care about you, you have to take some risks & put your heart out there, even though it can hurt sometimes. It can also result in warmth & caring & freedom.

Who the hell knows anymore. I'm starting not to give a hoot about anybody anymore. Time to be selfish like most of the people I know lately

I think most people are, basically, self absorbed and too worried about finding their own happiness to be much concerned with the happiness of others; unless, of course, it makes a practical difference in their own lives. This is not to say that they wouldn't show support or care if you shared a problem but the problems of others are not our own and unless it's your child or husband or someone extremely close, you're not likely to lose sleep over someone elses troubles.

People usually care about the unhappy ones. This shows that human beings are more thoughtful than other creatures. I always claim to be happy, so I receive very few responses.
The moderate advice is that we should try to conduct a truly happy life and take good care of the unhappy ones. Unhappy people cannot help themselves and other unhappy ones.
