I do. My son reads a lot so he has copies of all the usual classics, too, or my copy. I get him interested by playing the book on tape in the car if he seems reluctant to try one or another. It always works.

Haven't read them in a long time, but my favourites were To Kill a Mockingbird, Jane Eyre and The Catcher in the Rye.

Oh yes. My best friend has her kids hooked on adventure classics like 20000 legues undeer the sea and journey to the center of the earth. I'm trying to interest my niece in the original mary poppins books and nancy drew but think she may still be a little young. I LOVED all of the classics growing up and hope to pass the sheer pleasure of reading them on.

Did you know for Nintendo DS you can get 100 Classic books to read its great you even have a book mark to use. Its got Treasure Island I think I know there's Robinson Crusoe as I intend to read it. It was read to me by my dad when I was little it took him weeks but it was brilliant.

I think they're long gone. Neither of my kids have spoke about them at school or know what they are when I show them. I have a lot of my parents books like these, but cell phones and computers have killed the feeling of getting into a good book anymore with most people.

Yes, I do when I have the time. I've got To Kill a Mockingbird and a collection of Edgar Allen Poe's works

The classics are my reading staples! I especially love French classics, but I read Dickens, Twain, Hemingway, James, etc., and lots of various poets too.

Definitely. Some of these are even required in school.
