Online or offline, unless both people have agreed to an open relationship or something similar you should stay faithful

it depends on the person. people need to address their expectations with one another so that no one is surprised or hurt. if this topic can't be discussed with said party in an adult manner, that relationship with that person shouldn't be taken that seriously-- or if that person is avoiding the topic, that is a clue that the relationship is not exclusive.

For the most part I would say that people in online relationships don't take them as seriously.

But I've also known plenty of people who A) cheat on their SO in offline relationships with other people offline, or B) cheat on their SO in offline relationships online.
