I'm probably going to get bashed for this answer, but I'm going to say it anyway. Most women can't accept a child or children that their spouse has had with another woman, because the offspring are a constant reminder of their partner's ex. Everyone that I know that has a stepmother either hates her or just puts up with her because she is their father's wife. Stepfathers are different most of the time. I know so many people who get along great with their stepfathers. There are exceptions to every rule and I'm sure there are wonderful stepmothers out there that truly love their stepkids, but I think it's a small percentage.

weareone	Posted Sep 22nd, 2009 at 6:45PM I have Three, 30, 24, and 19 I have raised the 2 youngest for 13 years. I love them soo much. I do not consider them Step's and they do not like me telling people that I'm the Step. I had to teach them everything because their mother became very mently ill and violent towards them. I had a lot of issues to work out them but they are my treasures that the Lord blessed me with. Rated: +1Vote for this!

lookinggood	Posted Sep 22nd, 2009 at 6:47PM It depends on the parents. I think with some parents the answer would be yes. I think the kids have to be open about accepting 2 new grownups as parents. The situation is difficult but my answer would be yes. I love one kid for the person he/she is and another for the same reasons. Kid are all different. There's something to love about all of them. I would love step children as much as my own. It would take a while, but then, love does grow. Rated: +1Vote for this!
