I try to forgive because it releases the both of you, and also, there are times when I was the one who needed forgiveness. You can forgive without being a doormat. You can forgive and wash your hands of the person/situation.

Forgiveness to me, is something that I do for myself. It doesn't have anything to do with the other person, so them asking for forgiveness just seems silly to me.

Maybe....depends on what they did and how sincere I believe the apology is.
Someone once asked Jesus if they needed to forgive a person more than 7 times, to which He said even 70 times seven if necessary.
See, Christians, I DO love Jesus. HA!

To fiorgive is one thing, but how many rtimes are you expected to go back? Only if I were a doormat, would I forgive that many times!

I would forgive always. That doesn't mean I wouldn't be mighty perturbed and confused. I follow the multiplying mercy of Jesus.
