any favourites spring to mind? i remember a cow standing holding a glass of champagne dripping in jewels in a mansio saying to her 'husband' "Wendell, I'm not content" i thinnk he is so funny!

axeman66	Posted May 8th, 2009 at 10:36AM man, i miss the far side so much! here's a good one: there's a door with a pull to open sign on it and a big sign over it saying "school for the gifted" and and a kid leaning into it trying to push it open. Rated: +2Vote for this!
Cherpee	Posted May 8th, 2009 at 10:37AM Yes! the way that he convinces us, that animals think and act, just as he portrays them, and his ability to say so much in the cartoon, without words, from their expressions and his clever and so simple caricatures. He brings to life the bizarre, and raises many questions, that make us think, and or rethink, our relationships with animals. He ascribes them a personality and his humour is so dry. He is without doubt my favourite comedian Rated: +2Vote for this!

The one that stands out in my mind is when the cows are all conversing, standing up in the field, talking, and the "lookout cow" yells "CAR!" and they scramble to get back on all fours! :))) Thanks for the laugh! It is unlikely, bordering on impossible, that he is a normal human being when you consider the bizarre machinations of his once-daily cartoon, The Far Side. Most important to note regarding this was his LAST one: all the monsters and animals and mutants he had created revisit him! Justice was, no doubt, swift! Rated: +1Vote for this!
