    No, I never really learned how. I came from a very abusive dysfunctional multi-generational alcoholic family. I didn't have anything to smile about.

    i hate my self , i hate what i see in the mirror so i don't like camras and never look stright to the eye because i don't want pepole see my horrible face.

    Absolutely! The one and only time ( lately) that I did not smile for a picture was when I had my passport photo taken; the clerk told me NOT to smile, to look natural. Apparently my looking "natural" in a photo makes me akin to a fugitive.

    Did as a kid, didn't as a teenager, do as an adult.
    I was an angry misunderstood poor me teenager. Disgusts me now to look at them. I was such an idiot!

    Doesn't seem to make a difference as no matter what approach I take, the camera seems to click just when I pull a face or blink.
