I believe the child is a living thing inside the mother, even though it hasn't been born yet.

yeah kinda sorta because there are so many things out there these days that are easily available to prevent pregnancy... there really isn't much an excuse to accidently get pregnant other than stupidity.

Absolutely....I think it is murder even though it is just a fetus you are killing.I think there is no excuse to get accidently pregnant there are soo many methods of prevention.I think it is a very selfish act because they are soo many people who would love to get pregnant and people who can just kill the fetus in them.

On one end, I feel like a woman has a right to choose what she wants. It's her body and her life. No one has to go through with the pregnancy but her. Not you and not me, only her. On the other end, I feel like ending something that was going to be living like you and me is immoral. That fetus was going to be a human being. That hb was going to laugh, cry, build memories and friendships. I'm so inbetween...

Yes. Why do you think they tell women not to drink alcohol when they're pregnant? because it can harm the living being inside them.

This question is a paradox. You have implied the growth is a child.

No. It's my personal opinion that there aren't enough abortions performed as it is.

No I don't just like anything in life a human being go through different stages so a fetus is not yet a child it's developing into one. I don't think people have a right to tell anyone what they should do after all we are not living in their shoes. And we all have different viewpoints especially when it's someone's else's life we are debating

No. Its a woman not allowing the gov. Or the church to legislate her uterus. A womans body, a womans choice

"Unlawful" depends entirely on the law in the state or country concerned,
or the law according to the mother's faith - if possible father's faith and wishes should factor in too.
Personally I think abortion should not be illegal, for many reasons:-
- before legalisation, the rate of self administers and back yard jobs led to high mortality of both mother and baby, or sometimes permanent maiming.
- some pregnancies result from ******, rape.
- some mothers have serious drug problems, malnutrition and/or disease.
- some genetics determine a very poor quality of life for the child.
- the best vetting of adoptive parents does not guarantee a functional home.
- when a child is unwanted the parenting is often highly dysfunctional.
- quality of life and being wanted and loved ensures a healthy morality in society, while over population causes dysfunctional levels of stress and aggression.
- having said all that, I would favour abortions being limited to under 12 weeks, unless there is a threat to the life of mother or child, and I would ensure decent contraception and advice is fee in order to minimise the number of accidental conceptions. I also think men should take far more responsibility, because in casual situations they may have no proof of the woman's fertility status.

not only has it not been born but in 99% of cases it doesn't exist yet. A collection if cells does not a human make.

It's not unlawful. It's perfectly legal.

I believe if the fetus cannot live outside of the womb, it is not yet a child, therefore abortion would be okay. *Not good, not moral, not something I would personally do, but okay in the sense it should be legal.
