I believe that an accumulation of natural events fitting exactly the right time, place and need for someone creates a miracle.

Yup

I believe in miracles....You sexy thing!

Best Answer

No.<br />

If a god gave you free will he cannot intervene on your behalf, therefore any 'miracles' would have happened regardless, or you're ascribing divine power to a coincidence. More importantly, the idea of miracles flies in the face of faith.

Best Answer

This is mistaken. If god gives you free will that means he canno force you to do something. This does not mean that God cannot cure your cancer or help you out on a test, etc. (he clearly can with omnipotence) he can do anything that is logically possible.

Best Answer

So an omnipotent god is limited by logic? Logically speaking, that's a god that isn't omnipotent.

Best Answer

Duh. That was my point lazarus.

Best Answer

Yes as a christian i do, they are certainly logically possible, dont let the atheists fool you, there is no logical inconsistency with miracles.

Best Answer

Their is no logical inconsistency with rejecting belief in god. Does that do anything for ya?

Best Answer

This is the problem with internet atheism always using ad hominems.

Best Answer

It is not about logic in terms of your belief, it is about rationality. If the arguments/evidence point a certain way than a rational person believes the logical position.

Best Answer

Their is no empirical evidence nor argument that cannot be refuted that shows any god, much less a specific one, exists. Which way does that point to?

Best Answer

Do you even know what an ad hominem is? I don't have a problem with your logically consistent deal. But let me present a clearer example for you, their is no logical inconsistency when a Muslim believes Allah is the one true god. Does the fact that a logical consistency has been reached do anything for you?

What's a miracle exactly? My definition is likely quite different then yours.

Best Answer

a miracle is when god intervenes in the material world. Simple

Best Answer

Then proof of that would be very simple. As it stands, their is no proof of any miracles, or of any gods. I don't believe in miracles then.
