Do you believe in psychics?

I once knew a woman who used to call into those Ms. Cleo phone chats to get her future read. I always laughed at the situation because she always used good judgment in life. Somehow, she managed to latch onto this psychic reading hotline place and got a bill for something crazy like $900!

Why do people feel the need to consult these people? Do they want the psychic to echo their beliefs?
