I don't understand this "either/or" concept that people of science tote.

Incredibly, the world is not either purely material nor purely metaphysical. Both create its existence and neither are true without the other.

I think that the singularity probably was a god, but it died in the big bang, and we are all its heirs, endowed with godly powers thus made in its image.

I don't believe in either. I think the scientific explanation is far more probable. At least it's actually using our brains to understand the world around us instead of ancient, superstitious myths.

Noun An acceptance that a statement is true or that something exists. Something one accepts as true or real; a firmly held opinion or conviction. With those definitions, and those two options, you bring me to a corner. i dont know, and never will know the origin of the universe. For everything that has an origin, it has an origin itself. Put simply, i believe in nothing, and if you think that its a stupid answer then let me tell you why those two are stupid. Creationism of any kind: god who is an almighty, all knowing, MAN created the universe one time because he was bored and created the earth, and put emphasize on the humans because he thought they had some function even though there is no function when there is no problem Big Bang: something that was always there that for some reason gave way and created what we know. plus the same people who believe in that theory end up contradicting it with the basics of physics so you see why i think its complete B.S.
