Resolved Question

Do you believe there is a difference between loving someone and falling in love with someone?

I do believe there is a difference. You can love anyone, a lot of people love the ones that hurt them the most. But I think when you fall in love with someone you realize you want to spend every day from that point on with them. You want them in your life forever.

Romantic love is different than platonic love. I love my best friend. I am not IN love with her. There are different kinds of love. Filial love is brotherly love, like you'd have for family. Platonic=friendship. Agape is more transcendental, kind of like unconditional love a mother would have for a child.

Yes, I believe there is a difference between loving someone and "being in love" with someone. When we're "in love" in a romantic sense, it's entails a whole different set of values and experiences together.

I think there's a great difference between loving someone & living with someone you love. That's when your love for each other is being tested

I think it's quite the opposite, falling in love is not real kind of love, in other words you can fall in love with someone because of their looks, money, fame etc. think about it,literally falling usually happens when you're not careful enough or you do things without thought and then you fall, real love isn't like a fall at all it's thought out thoroughly and carefully, so when you feel you fall in love always check how real it is( why do you think there are so many divorces), that means it has to do with the personalty of the person things that he achieved. good luck to all of us!

love has many forms... it can mean different things to different people... i think it would be a mistake to assume we all love the same...

Intuitively, I do believe there is a difference. But I don't know how to define "falling in love" so I certainly can't describe the difference between the two.

Absolutely!I think you can be in love with the same one you fell in love with AND you can fall in love some more times..i think love is way more complex than just either or questions would have us believe

Chicks throw around the words "friend" and "love" like Michael Vick throws around dogs....frequently with no assumption of loyalty or responsibility.

The Little Prince said, "Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction."

you can be in love with someone, in love with the idea of loving someone, you can be infatuated with someone, you can truly love someone and accept them entirely for who they are: good and bad.

you can love someone like a good friend or a family member and you can fall in love with someone you want to spend your days with 24/7.
