Do you belive in vampires, that we exist?

I believe there are people acting out a vampire life style..not the vampires of fiction..They bite,kill and the victim comes back to live forever? No I don't believe that.

I don't think so, but I'm just a ZombieKitty and we really don't know a whole helluva lot. :s

Please define what you mean by vampire. I have met some energy vampires before although they were not aware that this was what they were. There are also psychic vampires which prey on the emotions of others. I think I dated one of those. I agree with Anardun that for most part it is a choice not some immortal gift.

Now if you are claiming that you are an immortal vampire please tell us from which legend you come from. Are you from the Roman Knight who slew Jesus with the spear of destiny and drank his blood. Or are you from Vlad the Impaller and his rain of terror. Or you could go back further and ask if you are from the spawn of those fallen ones that consorted with the Daughters of Eve. I am sure I have most likely mixed up a legend or two, I do remember one such legend that says that Vampires were a race of star faring aliens that crashed on our planet while mankind was still swinging from vines.

You seem to be mixing the two different definitions for "vampire" so I'll answer the question separately, since I'm not sure which one you meant.

The mythological immortal kind: no I don't believe they exist. I do find them fascinating though.

The human mortal kind. Who do drink some blood. And may dress or act in certain unique ways: These I don't know as much about. I've only read a little about them, so excuse my ignorance. I do believe people like this exist. I don't know why they live like they do. I think they're still human. They could have a health condition that makes them different than the average human, or it could just be lifestyle choices. I really don't know enough about them to know. Although if you wanted to educate or correct me, then I'd be open to it. I'm assuming it's this second group that you meant though. Am I right?

I am not sure. I could say that it is all fiction, but there is always that little bit of doubt in the back of my mind.

Well, let just say I hope not. I mean vampires might be all sexy and alluring in books and movies, but in the real world I'm much happier knowing that us Homosapiens are at the top of the food chain!

They apparentely do. I saw a video on Youtube (by National Geographic) recently answering your question. They apparentely prey not on the innocent, but on the evil.

In 1985, a motorist who was travelling down a back road in Florida came upon a young woman. She was hancuffed, partially clothed and barely able to walk. She was rushed to the hospital where paramedics observed that she had lost a significant amount of blood. She was 19. She told police inestigators that she had been hitch- hiking when a man picked her up. Once in the car he overpowered her, and choked her into unconciousness. When she woke up, after God knows how long, she was lying on a countertop in a kitchen, tied up. The man was inserting a needle into her arm and draining out her blood, into a beaker. He told her that he was a vampire who"drank of the blood". It went on for hours and in between feedings the kidnapper kept her handcuffed in the bathtub. She managed to escape, still handcuffed through the bathroom window, and stumbled onto the nearby road on which she was discovered...

It does seem ludicrous that such beings exist here in earth, and that communities of vampires apparentely exist all over the world but then, it's important we open our minds to all of the possiblities...

Then of course there are those misfortunate creatures (including grown men and women!) who have been deeply affected by the Twilight saga. I know of people who dellusionally believe they are and to be honest I can't help but laugh in their serious faces. :D
