I use public transport as I don't drive. Have not had a holiday in years so my carbon foot print is very small.

Recycle, public transit (rather than owning a car), eat vegan (according to a study by the UN, animal based agriculture contributes more to global warming than private consumption of fossil fuel for heating and transport), garden a little, use a clothes line instead of an electric / gas dryer, and am about to take the "no refrigerator challenge." We have a chest freezer and just bought an ice chest, so we're about ready to unplug that electricity hog.

i used to pick up garbage around the neighborhood but seeing a clean area seemed to encourage people to destroy it.

I practice my late Dad's motto of "Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without." A great deal of natural resources go into producing, marketing and transporting goods, so being thrify, is environmentally friendly. I also have composed and recycled for as long as I could remember. I'm just a caretaker on this little blue marble, not it's owner. :)

Totally agree with you, every little bit we do helps no matter how small. One of the biggest challanges we face is aparthy, far to many people seem to say "whats the point lm hardly making a differancne so why bother. We really need to educate people more but it has to be done in a fun way and not pointy finger type of way

I completely agree! When finger pointing is done, I think it's only natural for people to go on the defensive and shut down. For me, and as I taught my children when they were small, it's a game! Now they are in their 20's and put ME to shame with their dedication.
