If someone is never shown mercy for their vile actions, what do they learn? We are a sum of our experiences- as this site seems to teach us. We can only be what we have experienced. So I try to be kind to all, no matter what.

I had one particular bully in middle school gym class, that would be with a group of his friends teasing me, because I had some medical issues, and needed to carry around a water bottle. Years later, by chance, he was in my high school psychology class. I learned that he had never had a steady home, struggled with severe bi-polar disorder and was often medicated beyond functioning, was tossed from home to home... This is why I am not the judge of others, this is why none of us are- because We don't know. We don't. We can be insensitive and selfish. We are biased, because we look out for ourselves above others, and pardon ourselves more easily than we do others sometimes. Only God knows what is in someone's heart.
