Just "who" is attempting to do this? I can hardly imagine that proponents of "Free Speech" would stand for it.

I hadn't heard. Still, I do wish there were some way to limit the exposure of "impressionable" youngsters to such stuff, as I believe it does contribute to the development of unhealthy worldviews & ideas of how to deal with things.

I believe that there is way too much gratuitous violence portrayed in movies these days. Can't really speak for video games because I don't play them.
