Do you ever feel like youre so overwhelmed & sad by everything that it hurts you physically?

Do you ever feel so overwhelmed and sad by things that your chest & heart hurts and you just dont know what to do with yourself anymore.. and think that maybe this sadness is just slowly finishing you off.
-Im sure this would probably suit more in actually sharing a story with writing this, but it seems barely anyone comments on stories.

Neural overload can manifest in physical pain.

Yes, I have but don't any more. I leant how to recover. I will answer it if you write it as a story on a Depression Group. Just PM me and tell me what group when you're done. I can help advise you what to do but I can't cure it. You have to do that. You'll understand that as we talk in that group. OK. But it is much quicker with a guide than stimbling along, hoping.

Give as much detail as you can without being too personal for yourself but cover all the major issues, what's been done. what hasn't been done. Meds, shrinks etc.Details of family helps too. How long you've had it and were there separate bits that added on etc.

Although I cannot cure what's wrong I can point you to where to find out, to get the best treatment and realise what you suffer is temporary and will pass. In the end it becomes like a truce if it's really bad. You know it as well as it knows you and you can anticvipate and negate the illnesses' intent. You will need a good shrink and the right med which ain't easy to find. Therapy comes in when you and the shrink agree you are rational enough to benefit from it at which time you can also learn CBT. A form of self therapy which in very simple terms, allows you to change thought tracks from the nagative to anything you choose. Thus the depression is controlled. Follow? It sounds too easy etc I know but i isn't. You will need to be strong, patient, compliant and vigilent as well as certain it will get. Ego and impatience will destory any work you do. you where you want, as it will if you stick with it.

No promses as I cannot know what you do and if you follow the advice etc.

Talk soon? PM me when it's ready and I WILL answer.

Studies done on social isolation, for instance, indicate that it is processed similarly to physical pain. It actually hurts. Other things seem to do the same.

Yeah, stress, low mood, anger, holding grudges, adverse situations....they all take a genuine effect on the body. Maybe see your doctor about it?

I have yeah... and at the time i felt that the best thing to do was lie in bed and feel sorry... My friend asked and asked and asked... but the person who i needed to talk to didn't notice. And I didn't try to make him notice, cos then I would have hurt him. It goes away. Trust me. I still get it occasionally, for no real reason, but i have people who will worry so much that my worry for them will outweigh the contempt for myself and all will be well. Until the next time...

And if you need someone to talk to... I'm good at listening and advising. The offer is there but you don't have to take it. Everyone deals with their problems differently. Work out how you need to deal with it and work from there :) Good luck.
