    I had like 10o+ updates on my new PC the other day. It took like 4 hours to update..

    No, It mostly does it when Im away from my computer not only that but my comp runs security scanns and updates by it'self also.

    Only when it triggers a mandatory computer restart that you can postpone if you notice but can't turn off

    Yes, go into automatic updated in the control panel and set it to only do it when you request it.
