Do you ever listen to younger people and think wow I am so glad I'm past that phase.?

I have to work with lots of people day in and day out and anymore they are either 2 to 7 years younger than me or well over 30 yrs older. I catch myself listening to the younger ones and wondering if I ever acted like that? And then wondering if people older than me are thinking the exact same thing about me. If anything it makes me even more thankful that I am long past the teenage phase of my life. So to all those older than me out there, I beg you, please bear with me I am still learning... don't carry out the homicidal thoughts I may illicit in you. I will one day grow out of what ever phase I'm in and want to inflict them on the younger people myself. But I will show restraint... just like you are now...

It's not their age, it's their conformity to stupidity.. Many never manage to outgrow it :/

Maturity is acquired; stupidity is ageless. That fine, young dude at the top of the vote heap is ample proof of that.

I all ages, the youth are always in the forefront of world's construction. This age gives them greater importance than ever before. Yes, I am listening to my children and grandchildren everywhere.

Oh gosh, YES!!!

But then I also work with this woman who is 59 every day, and I swear you'd think she was still 20 with her stupidity and ignorance sometimes! One time she actually got pissed because another lady at the office got a spray tan and she heard someone compliment that woman for it. She seethed and was nasty for TWO WEEKS (at least) because nobody ever gives her compliments when SHE gets spray tans! LOL

Yes, I feel that way frequently. I work with younger girls whom I love dearly, but I'm glad I'm not that age anymore. Hey, we've all been there. I don't judge. I was that age once, so I have utmost patience with my young friends. They're like my little sisters.
Not everyone acts their age, though. I know a 20 year old that's more together than most 40 years olds. My dad, who's pushing 60, acts like he's 19--it keeps him young.
Age isn't nearly as important as people think.

Yes, I do feel that way. But often as not, it's about someone who SHOULD be older than that, but isn't acting like they ever grew up! And if they happen to be technically older than you, that just gets awkward. Because you have to wonder how you learned that maturity lesson, but somehow they seem to have skipped it? I guess growing up isn't mandatory. =/
