Do you fear God? Why or why not?

I don't, but i can say that i love Him. I don't think it is possible to love something you fear. Fear is an emotion that coincides with hate.

No, god doesn't exist so it would be completely irrational to fear it.

I fear God like fearing my merciful father. I dare not do anything that displeases Him, though I think that He is always forgiving.
Moreover, I am trembling, shaking, shivering... before His Majesty, His Power, His Justice... beyond my imagination and knowledge. And the fear of the Omnipotence of God removes all other fears in me.

i never could understand the whole "God fearing" thing. why would anyone fear perfect love?

I have no fear of any god. "God" in particular I never worry about because as far as I'm concerned he's not there. And if he is he's a disrespectful *****. When I spend that many tears asking a god to contact me or give me some sort of somthing, I expect a responce. If I call of a god in the correct manner for that god, it's very rude of them to ignore me so much, like God always has. She he's clearly either not there or not worth my time

Not the fear like "shaking in your boots" fear

I fear that I will do something to offend or hurt God. But the God I know loves, and there should be no reason to fear God.

i fear god knowing what causes his wrath and do things he doesn't want me to do.

fearing god meaning avoiding sins and ask forgiveness when i make them.

Many people think that "fear God" means that we should be afraid of Him.....

In reality, The word “fear” in the Greek is “phobos” and means a reverence for God as a controlling motive of life.

Nope. I don't believe I should have to fear the higher powers. They created us for a reason, and I don't believe any God would be so narcissistic as to create us just to destroy us for not obeying their every command..That's just stupid!

I don't fear God because my God as I understand him is a loving God.

As far as fear and hate,you can fear something or someone and not hate either.

If God exists I would like to think he is a loving God who is on your side, so thats why I wouldn't waste anytime fearing God.
