No. They're adults now and busy "lying" to their children.

Do you remember being a child? Remember how days went on forever? Were you happy? Do you have lovely memories or sad ones?

I have a whole section in my brain that is full of happy, soft and sweet memories of my early childhood. Alas it was shortened at age 6 when my Mother passed away and my Dad never remarried so we (my sister and brothers) basically bought ourselves up. One thing we did still have though, was the belief in Santa.

Soon enough we learned from our school friends about Santa but we never told Dad we knew, so Santa continued.

Once I became a teenager life got hard and things weren't so good. But those childhood memories remained. I could comfort myself when I was scared, or lonely or just wanted my Mum, by going back there.

But imagine a world where I had nothing like that to remember to make me feel happy.

Children should be allowed to have fantasy, and be irresponsible and have dreams.

I don't feel guilty that I gave Santa to my kids. :-)

    NO! OF COURSE NOT!

Why would you? They'll find out in their own time it was you, and when they find out, they'll understand a bit more what it is to truly be grateful. You've given your kid a childhood full of imagination and wonder, and that's what a kid needs in a society like ours. Let them be kids. Don't try to grow them up before they're ready to grow up themselves.

Just a tiny bit. But I don't look backing my childhood and think my mother was a liar. Kids perceive it differently.

You ask them what they want and they tell you, they just grow out of it. Those Santa's make kids cry.
